Checking Off my Holiday List with Gluten-Free LUNA Bars!
The holiday season is super crazy & it is definitely the season! Out running errands & checking off my holiday list I’ve been grabbing a clutch that goes with anything. I always try to keep my bag stocked with essentials like hand sanitizer, concealer, a brow pencil so I don’t look crazy, & a tasty snack I can toss in my bag like the LUNA gluten-free bar options.

Need to go to a work event? Check! Grab milk because we ran out….again…? Check? Head out the door to dinner with my husband? Checkitty check! Know what keeps me going? Making sure I have energy by always having a snack on hand! I have been loving the new gluten-free LUNA bars because I have a bad habit of getting really grumpy when my tummy starts to rumble.
All LUNA bars are now gluten-free & they are still under 200 calories for a suitable snack. They come in an awesome variety of flavors, are made with 70% organic ingredients, have no artificial flavors or synthetic preservatives, & are a great source of both protein & fiber! They tweaked things only slightly to make them gluten-free while still tasting great. I have 4 bars here that Ryan & I sat down & tried together & we loved each one for different reasons. We both agreed we’d reach for any of the flavors again…& that they tasted a bit like a granola & candy bar hybrid! Win!
Want to try your very own bar of your choice? Visit the LUNA PAGE HERE & then come back to let me know which flavor you’d most like to try! Just comment with it below along with your email address & I’ll contact one winner randomly!

Beautiful Kitchen Jars DIY Craft – Classing up my Kitchen!
This post is brought to you on behalf of Weight Watchers. All thoughts are my own.
Do you ever look around your kitchen & think “Wow! I really need to step up my style game in here!” because you realize it is kind of blah? Well- I have lately. I’m trying to find my perfect accessories without changing anything permanently since we live in military housing. As much as I’d love to paint, re-tile, & replace cupboards it just isn’t an option! I recently had the opportunity to update my snack containers & customize them as well! I really love how this turned out! You don’t need very many tools & they should also be easy to find at a local store. Enough chat- let’s get into this crafty DIY then I’ll share with you a few of my favorite healthy snacks!

You’re going to want to pick any kind of sturdy container that have a seal like you see above. They’re super simple with clean lines & they aren’t real shiny- plus they have a nice ceramic finish to them. I like basic things like this because they are easy to switch up if I change my kitchen design. I chose to label them something simple below too so I can switch out the contents as seasons & my mood change.

You can buy paint in any color but here I have a satin finish black & white along with a fun metallic silver- all from Martha Stewart. You also want sponges so you can go over the stencils easily. I don’t always use the entire sponge, sometimes just the sides or just the center. The stencils are also from Martha Stewart & I love that the fonts are really different. Plus each comes with a little design to place.

Because the stencils have a light adhesive it is really easy to place them where you’d like. I’m a bit messy with stamps honestly so I keep cotton swabs on hand to touch up any coloring outside the lines. You can then rinse these & adhere them back to the plastic backing for reuse. Once you try self-adhesive stamps it is really hard to go back!

All cleaned up- here’s what I came up with! I like the silver on that deep chalkboard black best. I think it looks really cool! I love these two containers & although they may look small they actually hold quite a lot of snacks! Plus things just look better out of their package & in a new container that matches the decor doesn’t it?

So since I created these to hold snacks…let’s talk about two of my favorites at the moment! I am loving these Weight Watchers Triple Chocolate Brownies Bliss bars… they are absolutely awesome- & taste like way more than only 2 WW points! Another snack I’ve been loving are dehydrated apples! They help curb my sweet tooth when I need something that won’t get yucky on the go in this heat & humidity!
What are your favorite snacks lately? Where do you store them? Any other Weight Watchers treats I need to get my hands on?
Valentine’s Day Chocolate Raspberry Angel Food Mug Cake Recipe + Linkup!
Want to hear a secret? Mug cakes are my ongoing addiction. Mug brownies are gooey & mug pies are sweet but… Angel Food Cake made in a mug is just too easy to pass up. I have a big container full of half angel food cake & half devil’s food cake. Not a chocolate fan? Use another type! But this is my favorite duo personally & one choice does NEED to be angel food cake or it won’t work! Keep reading to check out my Valentine’s Day version of this easy & sweet treat!
Your basic formula for a 3-2-1 mug cake- 3 tablespoons of the mentioned cake mixture, 2 tablespoons of water, & one minute in the microwave. Then…ding! Cake! Obviously your microwave might need 45 seconds or even to add ten seconds- microwaves are weird like that. keep an eye on your cake!
When it comes out, it will look something like this spongy confection here! See how it seriously looks like a sponge? Yeah, that is quite tasty!
So what did I use for raspberry flavoring? Not fresh raspberries unfortunately…they just didn’t look good at the store. I opted for some freeze dried ones which I crushed up fine. You can use other types of flavoring but beware of making your cake dense or watery. You can also add a bit of chocolate chips if you’d like!
I added strawberries because those did look good at the store! Yum! Bonus points if you try to cut them into hearts & they come out as “abstract hearts” like mine!
What makes this even better? Sprinkles. & Valentine’s Day colored M&Ms because…why not. I guess you don’t need to add candies but yum, so good!

T&C Tuesday: Eight O’ Clock Chocolate Mint Coffee

Ready for Tea & Coffee Tuesday? I have been on such a coffee kick lately. I drank a lot of tea when I was sick but ever since I started feeling better I’m all about a great cup of Joe. I have an instant favorite to share with you today that is also apparently ( & depressingly) limited edition. I bring you the fantastic Chocolate Mint Ground Coffee from Eight O’ Clock.
This is my first ever taste of anything from Eight O’ Clock, possibly due to the limited distribution. I actually found this at our local military commissary I think but after checking on their site they are located in some stores as well such as Walmart, Albertons, etc.
From Eight O’ Clock: A decadent blend of cool, refreshing peppermint swirled temptation of smooth dark chocolate notes. Whether a perfect after-dinner treat or to help you start your day, this 100% Arabica offering is sure to satisfy.
I believe I paid around $6.50 for the 11 oz bag. I consider that a decent price for something specialty. I can’t personally drink coffee during the week or else I’ll stay awake so I’ve been drinking it in the morning when I’m looking for something refreshingly sweet. It says it contains dark chocolate & I definitely taste it! Seriously, this coffee is like liquid thin mints mixed with a rich coffee. Perfection. For me? A total hit. On the weekends, this would totally help cure my recent love (ie obsession) of mint chocolate cookies.
Do you like mint in the morning? Does this sound like something you’d enjoy? I spotted a few other types of coffee from Eight O’ Clock I might be interested in trying, namely the Hazelnut & French Vanilla. Any that you’ve tried that I need to seek out?
