When looking at the fashion trends each season, there is often something I like…but am not really interested in adding to my wardrobe. I thought it would be fun to take three popular trends for spring that have been all over the runways & show some fun ways of integrating them into your home & decor! For this post I focused on gingham, stripes, & the new style of animal print- keep reading to check out my picks!

This post is brought to you on behalf of Weight Watchers. All thoughts are my own.
Do you ever look around your kitchen & think “Wow! I really need to step up my style game in here!” because you realize it is kind of blah? Well- I have lately. I’m trying to find my perfect accessories without changing anything permanently since we live in military housing. As much as I’d love to paint, re-tile, & replace cupboards it just isn’t an option! I recently had the opportunity to update my snack containers & customize them as well! I really love how this turned out! You don’t need very many tools & they should also be easy to find at a local store. Enough chat- let’s get into this crafty DIY then I’ll share with you a few of my favorite healthy snacks!
You’re going to want to pick any kind of sturdy container that have a seal like you see above. They’re super simple with clean lines & they aren’t real shiny- plus they have a nice ceramic finish to them. I like basic things like this because they are easy to switch up if I change my kitchen design. I chose to label them something simple below too so I can switch out the contents as seasons & my mood change.
You can buy paint in any color but here I have a satin finish black & white along with a fun metallic silver- all from Martha Stewart. You also want sponges so you can go over the stencils easily. I don’t always use the entire sponge, sometimes just the sides or just the center. The stencils are also from Martha Stewart & I love that the fonts are really different. Plus each comes with a little design to place.
Because the stencils have a light adhesive it is really easy to place them where you’d like. I’m a bit messy with stamps honestly so I keep cotton swabs on hand to touch up any coloring outside the lines. You can then rinse these & adhere them back to the plastic backing for reuse. Once you try self-adhesive stamps it is really hard to go back!
All cleaned up- here’s what I came up with! I like the silver on that deep chalkboard black best. I think it looks really cool! I love these two containers & although they may look small they actually hold quite a lot of snacks! Plus things just look better out of their package & in a new container that matches the decor doesn’t it?
So since I created these to hold snacks…let’s talk about two of my favorites at the moment! I am loving these Weight Watchers Triple Chocolate Brownies Bliss bars… they are absolutely awesome- & taste like way more than only 2 WW points! Another snack I’ve been loving are dehydrated apples! They help curb my sweet tooth when I need something that won’t get yucky on the go in this heat & humidity!
What are your favorite snacks lately? Where do you store them? Any other Weight Watchers treats I need to get my hands on?
So are you ready for another Tea & Coffee Tuesday? This week we have a very special tea in a new beloved mug. Oh happy day. My mom & I went to the Getty Museum when I was in California & had quite a fancy meal. By the end we were too full for dessert so we opted for tea- & I’m pretty sure it was this one! The Revolution Tropical Green Tea is a full-leaf tea with flow-through net infuser. The box I purchased has 16 bags all in a resealable bag within the box. Handy & not as much waste as individual packages which remaining fresh.
What made me search this out was the flavor- mom & I went wild for it! After having an amazing cheese plate & a beautiful wild mushroom & truffle risotto you’d think tea wouldn’t compare, right? Nope, it stuck with us & we both sought it out. I think my box might be a bit outdated because you can see it on their website & the box is different.
From Revolution– You are about to enjoy the most exciting green tea on the planet! Revolution Tea’s Tropical Green is a natural blend of Dragonwell green tea, Young Hyson and pineapple flavoring. Rich in flavor, this award-winning tea will convert anyone to the wonders of green tea. This is fabulously tropical- perfect hot or iced. There’s something beautiful about these see-through sachets. I think being able to see the ingredients with zero cleanup is just such a treat. I taste the pineapple along with notes of orange peel, jasmine, & a light lemon undertone.
The mug is brand new so I want to make a little note about it! I thought this was so cool & it is a Kate Spade Saturday Morning Mug. I know I don’t need more mugs/cups/reallyanything but I just fell in love. This mug in particular doesn’t appear to be on the site any longer but here is the Kate Spade Saturday home items to shop through. Not an affiliate link, just sharing! She has some gorgeous things! I love the soothing shades of blue, different faces, & basically awesome artistic-ness.
What are you drinking today? Anything fun going on in your lives?
