What do you take to a potluck? How do you choose your recipes? The truth is, I tend to fall on old habits & prepare a recipe I think is reasonably simple or that people request. While that’s totally fine & probably natural- I’ve been wanting to try more new things! Modern Potluck by Kristin Donnelly is easily one of my favorite new cookbooks! Keep reading to find out why!
Modern Potluck is a cookbook and guide for today’s potluckers that delivers Instagram-worthy dishes packed with exciting, bold flavors. These 100 make-ahead recipes are perfect for a crowd and navigate carnivore, gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, and vegan preferences gracefully. With beautiful color photographs and lots of practical information such as how to pack foods to travel, Modern Potluck is the ultimate book for gathering friends and family around an abundant, delicious meal.
One of my favorite things about this collection of recipes is the amount of sauces, dips, & syrups! Pistachio Salsa Verde? Honey-Vanilla Syrup? Thai-Style Chile Relish? Yes please! Plus there are lots of appetizer ideas- not just side dishes! Snacky stuff is always welcomed so I really appreciate the idea of enhancing basic nibbles too. There’s even an entire collection of 9-by-13 casseroles! The layout is just perfect! On top of all that- beautiful photography. I highly recommend you guys check this one out for inspiration!
