Everyday Detox is What I’m Currently Reading
Books I’ve been reading lately are seriously long- the title for this one on Amazon is Everyday Detox: 100 Easy Recipes to Remove Toxins, Promote Gut Health, and Lose Weight Naturally. That’s crazy, right? But…you probably aren’t here to listen to my “titles are too long” rant that I’ve been spouting lately. You’re probably reading to find out more about Everyday Detox by Megan Gilmore– so let me dive into it!
A healthy guide to detoxing naturally, all year round–no dieting, juice fasting, or calorie counting required–to lose weight, improve digestion, sleep better, and feel great, featuring 100 properly combined recipes for every meal of the day.
Most diets and cleanses have all-or-nothing rules that encourage unhealthy cycles of intense restriction followed by inevitable bingeing. In this healthy guide to detoxing naturally, nutritionist and blogger Megan Gilmore shares 100 delicious, properly combined recipes that will leave you feeling satisfied and well nourished while promoting weight loss and improving digestion and sleep.
So am I on a detoxing kick? Actually no- but I do find these recipes to be wonderful. Lately there have been so many labels slapped in front of “healthy” that I’ve had a hard time choosing subjects. Think more about what kind of recipes would be behind the topics instead. For me detox tends to mean “real food” with fresh ingredients. I’m a big fan of that! This particular book has all of that & more including recipes kids would actually enjoy. These recipes are all about balance & digestion so you’ll see that theme throughout at well. & don’t think it only means fruits & veggies either! You’ll find recipes for Banana Coconut Muffins to Skillet Fish Tacos & even Peppermint Fudge Bars inside! If you are vegan she also gives tips to lead you that way as well! All in all- a fantastic combination!
Have you checked out detox books? Any recipes you’d like a more healthy version of? What are your favorite cookbooks lately?
