Have you ever had a staycation? Recently I had the opportunity to visit the Casablanca Resort & Casino for a short stay & it happens to be in Mesquite, Nevada! Mesquite is about an hour outside Aliante in Las Vegas where we live- & Mesquite happens to be the city my parents live. We’ve been to the Casablanca a lot but never had the opportunity to stay- so this was the perfect time for a mother daughter mini vacation!
We were invited out for National Relaxation Day & you probably caught some of my shares on Instagram! I know it was awhile ago but things have been crazy busy. Finally I get to share everything though- & you’ll want to check it out!
We were staying in a beautiful room overlooking the lagoon-style pool. They even have a waterslide & waterfall! Casablanca is well-known for their casino but they also have beautiful golf courses, lots of entertainment, & of course the world-class spa. One of my favorite options is all the packages to choose from when you book a room- opt in for your spa & gold bundles then for an even better deal.
Kind of off topic but I just had to mention the food! Mom & I ended up eating at the Casa Cafe for pretty much every meal- it was so good! The service was also wonderful- our waiters actually remembered us & asked about our stay. We both totally fell in love with the Cobb Salad & ordered it not once but twice. It was massive! & incredibly fresh . It is also casual so we came right in after our showers from the pool to get some grub! Despite having been to the Casablanca numerous times, we’d never been to the spa! I’ve been to a lot of spas (for those of you who don’t know, I also run www.allthingsbeautifulxo.com which is all about beauty!) but this was a true oasis. The spa itself was completely tucked away & truly remote. It was quiet, scenic, & beyond relaxing. They offer so many treatments to choose from as well- from therapeutic massage to nourishing facials to beauty treatments. Above is a photo of the relaxation room- it is the quiet spot you wait before & after treatments to unplug & unwind. Inside the spa I recognized multiple brands I already love- especially Farmhouse Fresh! The brands they carry definitely focus on the more natural side- lots of organic & healing treatments.
Farmhouse Fresh is one of my favorite body care brands…of all time. Everything is natural, luxurious feeling, & great for my somewhat sensitive skin. I’ve reviewed quite a few of their products- like the Marmallow Melt that I’m totally devoted to & of course the Guac Star Mask I always make sure to have on hand! Seriously- I pretty much automatically fell in love with the Casablanca Spa when I saw this wall of products! Eminence Organics is a new-to-my brand of organic products. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to receive any treatments featuring their products but the team definitely was enthusiastic! Here’s a bit I pulled from their site: We continue to use hand-picked and hand-mixed fresh ingredients to create products that contain potent healing and beautifying properties. Many of these ingredients are combined with pure waters drawn from a thermal hot spring lake containing minerals and trace elements found nowhere else on earth. Another brand I wasn’t familiar with but instantly fell in love with on first look? FinchBerry! Oh my goodness! All of their handmade soaps are cut in slices & each design is unique. The combos smelled absolutely amazing! I definitely plan on buying some! According to their website, FinchBerry says: Each individual bar contains natural, food grade ingredients, a unique decadent appearance, and a lush gentle lather. In addition, our soaps are gluten-free, vegan-friendly, and made without any harsh chemical preservatives. Our soaps are not just a cleanser, but sensory experience you can savor daily. Here’s a closer look at one of my favorite soaps- Tropical Sunshine! “Coconut and lime blended together in perfect unison to create this tropical shoreline beauty.”
It wasn’t just mom & I- lots of other influencers were there to learn about the spa & services! We got to learn about the brands they’ve chosen (mostly all natural) & the services they provide. Mom & I opted for mani/pedis & we were pretty excited about it! Unfortunately mom had just had some surgery so we were looking for something that wouldn’t be too invasive. I really hope we can go back for facials or massages again some time! The spa area outside was a shock- we had no idea it even existed from outside the area! The heated pool & spa had amazing jets too! It really is a private nook & right next to that is the private steam room. You’re free to use these amenities (& drink the cucumber water..which we gulped down…) with an service for the rest of the day. Totally worth it just for that honestly! It feels so exclusive & very quiet. Outside are all these separate little cabana buildings. When I say private- I do mean it! You’re not going to be dealing with anyone being loud because the spa really prides itself on tranquility. We got our nails done in a special building- half is the pedicure chairs & the other half are styling stations for hair. Everything was very clean & the massage chairs were out of this world.
& these bowls?? Can we just admire them for a moment? Is that not the most soothing video ever?
Here’s my finished manicure- all OPI which was a total coincidence! I ended up going with OPI That’s Hula-rious with a glitter topper of OPI Desperately Seeking Sequins as an accent. I loved it!
