Recently Melanie Lee (of Jetsettin’ Daisy blog & @jetsettindaisy instagram) & I tried the Glegan menu over at Triple George Grill located just inside the Downtown Grand’s street corridor between Ogden and Stewart. What is Glegan? Well- it is their menu that fuses the traditional offerings of gluten-free & vegan into one health conscience selection, offers a variety of gluten-free or vegan ONLY options as well many items that provide a combination of BOTH. You know I’m a carnivore (Melanie Lee too!) but we’ve both been stepping outside our comfort zone to check out even more restaurants & cuisine. Keep reading to check out what we got & how it stacked up!
So before we dive into the Triple George Glegan Menu, we wanted to start with one pescetarian option! This was an easy pick for me…samplers are my favorite thing! I’m one of those people who has a really hard time deciding on just one thing!
This chilled platter comes with two of everything- perfect for sharing! This would be a great date starter as well. On ice you receive two oysters, mussels, clams, shrimp, & one large crab leg. Everything was fresh & delicious. The presentation is lovely as well- I adored the floral touches!
On the favorites side of the menu, we also selected this Grilled Vegetable Plate. This was some of the best eggplant I’ve ever had in my life! It came with grilled zucchini, eggplant, asparagus, tomatoes, mushrooms, broccoli, carrots, & was served over rice.
Starting to dive into the Triple George Grill Glegan Menu here now! Here’s a snapshot of what’s offered.
The first choice was definitely the Penne Primavera which is both vegan & gluten-free. Melanie loves pasta with tomato sauce & I adore zucchini. Easy pick! The zucchini & penne pasta comes topped with a tomato sauce with roasted red peppers & spinach. Yum!
For my entree, I wanted to step a bit outside my comfort zone…& I’m glad I did! I went with the Triple George Grill Southwest Burger with comes with delicious truffle fries. Another option that is both vegan & gluten-free.
This is a soy patty packed with veggies! It was so much…more attractive than I had imagined? Definitely more colorful than a traditional burger patty! The patty is stacked with chipotle mayo, grilled onions, jalapenos, tomato, lettuce, & guacamole. It was delicious!
For dessert, how could we resist gluten-free creme brulee? The flavor was bliss & the custard was perfectly creamy. You could really taste the ingredients. A good creme brulee is absolutely one of my favorite desserts! Is there anything better than cracking that top layer?
