Looking for gift ideas? I’ve got you covered! Recently Christie of icanstyleu invited us out to an exclusive Downtown Summerlin opportunity- which included TONS of holiday ideas! There’s something for everyone on your list- even gift cards for those difficult people! Keep reading to check it all out!
We were lucky enough to spend the day in Downtown Summerlin checking out some of my favorite stores, some new ones I haven’t shopped yet, & seeing tons of ideas + deals for the holiday season. DT Summerlin is probably the closest to feeling like home for me because it is like shopping outside- which is huge in California! You’ve probably seen me down there a ton eating, drinking, & being…merry? PS see more shopping tips RIGHT HERE
The day kicked off at Dillard’s discussing Jo Malone- one of my favorite beauty brands! I’ve worn their fragrances for ages so getting to hear some of the history & get expert opinions was really a treat. You’ll definitely want to check out this darling Jo Malone Pyramid Ornament & the gorgeous Jo Malone Holiday Cracker pictured Melanie picked up! Plus- the Pomegranate Noir bath oil– is amazinggg.
Next on our tour was Oil & Vinegar. I was SO excited about this one! Ryan & I stop by there all the time! Basically they have tons of Italian gifts- but our favorite is (obviously) their oils & vinegars! You can choose your flavors then choose the size of your bottles. When it is empty, you simply bring them back in & pay for refills! This time I brought Ryan home jalapeno oil- yum!
Above, you can also see the Leather Couture by Jessica Galindo custom monogrammed baggage tag- but look at her other custom goods! I showed her beautiful earring son my instagram but I’m dying to get my hands on these rings! Ha- see what I did there? This clutch is also darling!
Also pictured is my cacti from West Elm– isn’t she darling? The planting expert actually showed us how to properly plant these beauties- & how to keep them from getting over or under watered! Plus she gave a tip about watering I had forgotten- they actually prefer a bit of bottled water instead of tap! I love West Elm so this was another fun stop for me!
Aveda Salon was also on our list- I can’t wait to go in for a treatment! It really hadn’t occurred to me to pick up gift certificates for spa packages until we stopped here…but I know I’d love to receive one! They also had TONS of gifting options! I’ve used Aveda for ages but I haven’t actually been into their salon before- it was lovely!
We ended our day at the California Pizza Kitchen Downtown Summerlin location! A gift card from CPK – who doesn’t want to find that as a gift? When you purchase $100 in gift cards, which can be divided up into increments of your choice plus you get a $20 bonus gift card for yourself to use after the holidays!
& let me point out one of my absolute favorites for any woman in your life- something from Victoria’s Secret. I don’t care who she is. What she wears. What job she works. Every woman should have something that makes her feel comfortable or sexy or confident. Preferably- all three. Shown is one of the most comfortable bras for me- the Victoria’s Secret Perfect Shape in the pattern Dark And Stormy With Rebel Lace. The panties pictured are the Victoria’s Secret Chantilly Lace Thong Panty in Festive Green. Pick out something they’ll love- or choose the easiest option below….
GIFT CARDS ARE KING! If you’re ever wondering what to get someone difficult- go with a gift card or certificate. Above is a WIDE variety. Think a date night out for new parents at a nice restaurant they might not splurge on themselves. A Build-A-Bear card for the kid with ever-changing tastes. & even bakery coupons for those that have a sweet tooth. A gift card doesn’t have to feel impersonal!
You’ll be seeing more of my picks on instagram so be sure to check in over there! & be sure to check out Christie’s post from the event right here! Thanks again for having us!
