I got Ryan’s dream invite recently- to try all the new treats & drinks on the Dunkin Donuts holiday/winter menu! In case you guys aren’t familiar, I’ve been blogging on All Things Beautiful XO for years & you might find this hard to believe but…he just doesn’t get excited about mascara or lipstick! Can you believe it? But doughnuts are something he can get behind! Living at our last base we frequented our local DD more than I’m willing to admit- & now we’ve found our new local spot here in Las Vegas! Keep reading to check out the new items & what we think!
First I want to talk about the seasonal drinks- because I love me some Dunkin Donuts coffee! Each drink was served in a smaller cup so if it looks different- that’s why! I’m not a big fan of snickerdoodle flavors normally- but the two from Dunkin Donuts we had weren’t too much cinnamon which I prefer. The DD Snickerdoodle Macchiato was surpisingly mellow & not too overly sweet. If you want something intense- the DD Sugar Cookie Iced Macchiato with a shot of espresso will wake you way up! My personal favorite was the Pumpkin Latte because it wasn’t heavily spiced & had a touch of that caramel sweetness. If I was to pick up a drink in the afternoon as a treat & wanted something cold- the Peppermint Mocha Iced Latte was awesome! It wasn’t too sweet & wasn’t overwhelming peppermint either. All 4 flavors were quite pleasant!
We tried two different sweet treats- the Snickerdoodle Croissant Donut & the Caramel Cheesecake Squares. The DD Snickerdoodle Croissant Donut is a doughnut + croissant hybrid. It has these amazing layers & this particular flavor includes a cookie dough filling! On the top you have cinnamon, sugar, & a bit of icing. The Caramel Cheesecake Squares have caramel icing on top & these little caramel dark chocolate cups on top! Inside is a super fluffy, whipped filling.
Going in…I definitely thought Ryan & I would automatically be more interested in the Caramel Cheesecake Squares. They combined caramel, cheesecake, & chocolate. But surprisingly…our very favorite if we had to pick one we both said we’d choose the Snickerdoodle Croissant Donut! But we’d definitely come back for both because- variety duh!
The ultimate two thumbs up from both of us? The Dunkin Donuts Sweet Pepper Bacon Sandwich! When they told us it was limited edition it about broke our hearts! This sandwich comes with a super flaky croissant on the outside & has a stack of cheese, sweet pepper bacon, & a fresh cooked egg in the middle. Dunkin Donuts says “The bacon experience you’ve been waiting for. Double the slices of sweet, caramelized, crispy, pepper, bacon!” & yes- this bacon is fantastic! It was wonderful & we both said we’ll be back for more before they’re gone! & hope they’ll make it permanent!
All of the participating Dunkin Donuts in the LV valley should have all of the items mentioned here plus some regular holiday goodies as well! These items are limited edition & will be around until at least January 1st- so make sure to check your local location out! Dunkin Donuts also has a tiered budget menu- so there’s something for everyone in each price range. They also have K-Cups now so I plan to pick some up soon!
Have you tried any of these items are your local Dunkin Donuts? What’s your favorite? If you’re traveling for the holiday they make a great meal on the go too! Trust me…this military family knows!
