Last week Ryan & I attended the pre-opening of a restaurant any lobster lovers will be obsessed with! Luke’s Lobster is brand new & located right on The Strip. You walk up, order, then have the option of standing tables, a few back tables, or eating your rolls in hand while taking in the city. Being that I’m from California (West coat meets east coats? GASP!) I know my seafood so I was pretty excited for another option here in town! Plus a casual, cool spot that you can just grab & go! Keep reading to see what we though!
Luke’s Lobster, the Maine-bred seafood shack known for its simple menu and top-quality sustainable ingredients, opened its first Las Vegas shack. Locals and visitors can enjoy the city’s freshest seafood, and a breath of fresh air, right on The Strip. The outdoor shack features al fresco seating, greeting diners on the plaza just outside Fashion Show, all with convenient valet and self-parking via multiple mall entries.
We both got a lobster roll, soup, chips, & a drink. Plus a pickle of course! Ryan got the Lobster Bisque & I went with my ‘ol faithful Clam Chowder. We were impressed with the amount of lobster & the high quality as well! Luke’s Lobster is really big on the east coast (New York City, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, Boston, & Chicago) but we weren’t familiar. We didn’t know what to expect but were happily surprised! Ryan liked his Lobster Bisque & I absolutely loved my chowder so they were a big hit as sides too!
Also, a bit off-topic perhaps, but this Blueberry Soda from Maine Root is incredible. We’d never had it & I REALLY regretted getting water after I had a swig of Ryan’s!
Here’s a shot of the BIG pieces of lobster in the rolls! Impressive right? Neither of us are fans of mayonnaise so we were delighted to take & bite & note it tasted like real lobster as well! If you aren’t a lobster fan they had other types of rolls as well like crab & shrimp.
Visit Luke’s Lobster 7 days a week from 11am to 10pm (midnight Friday & Saturday!) right on the strip. It is totally laid back & a great place to eat on a casual date or when touring the city.
“The vision of Luke Holden, Luke’s Lobster brings the sea to the city in a rustic, relaxed seafood shack setting that celebrates its founder’s native Maine. Luke’s Lobster is anchored by a commitment to sustainably-sourced seafood. The organization champions its purveyors, and takes great pride in an absolute ability to trace its culinary offerings in the journey from the ocean to the plate. The modest menu highlights superior ingredients, with fresh lobster, crab, and shrimp rolls at the helm, along with a selection of chowders and bisques.”
