Feeling a bit bloated? Today I want to share my favorite recipe for a drink that both fits the bill & tastes amazing! Plus it holds onto that last bit of summer! I also have a freebie so keep reading until the end!
For this recipe I usually use watermelon that I either froze or that I need to use up. Like when my husband buys a watermelon with so many seeds that I need glasses to eat it. This is a true story. I always have lemons on hand so this is easy! Paired with lemon & a bit of sweetener…well this has been my favorite summer drink! I’ve been so busy unpacking & organizing that I really haven’t had a lot of time so this is perfect!
- 1 cup of watermelon, fresh or frozen in chunks
- 1 lemon
- honey or sugar
- Puree watermelon in the food processor. Strain through a sieve & reserve the juice.
- Juice a lemon & add to watermelon juice.
- Sweeten to taste. I prefer mine a bit tart!
