Venturing back into Manhattan with some of my favorite characters was a blast & full of lots of information I found the first novel lacked. So much more is explained in Masquerade about the vampires, conduits, & silver bloods. I personally enjoy Mimi’s sinfully rude attitude & I find myself loving to hate her. Personally, Jack isn’t my type (I have the bad boy disease, sorry) but this also opens up some Oliver options. Venice certainly shakes things up.
The ball itself is something that sounds amazing to plan but I wish more had happened at the event. The Masquerade was definitely where the party was at! I love Bliss but she is still so naive! I can’t wait to see her develop into a stronger character, hopefully in book 3. & Dylan being gone is sad & all but we really didn’t get a chance to know or like him did we? I mean, did she? Must be some past life pull there that hans’t translated to me as a reader!
Also, I’m not crazy about the whole twin action. I mean…what? & I get the whole preconceived thing but still, every time think about it I get a bit uneasy. Just one more reason for me not to root for the Force twins.
