So- is it chilly yet? It is here! ‘Tis the season for cold weather & warm drinks- which is why I’m sharing the ultimate hot chocolate recipe! It is ultra-creamy, SUPER rich, & the best hot chocolate recipe ever. Seriously. Plus…a bonus recipe! I have been seeing these adorable hanging mug cookies everywhere so I wanted to give them a shot as well! They’re not only crazy easy but I used dough perfect for a big party too! Keep reading to check everything up!
The first step is ingredients- mine are high-quality chocolate chips & the easiest sugar cookie dough ever! This dough comes packaged in two completely prepped sheets– ready to cut & bake!
I have this awesome crockpot duo so I got two make two different flavors of hot chocolate! If you have the option- feel free! If not one crockpot also works fine & dandy.
- 1½ cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
- 6 cups milk
- 2 cups of chocolate chips (milk, semi, dark, white...)
- Optional flavorings.
- Add everything to the crockpot.
- Heat on low for two hours stirring about every half hour if you can to mix things up a bit.
- Stir before serving & top with additional toppings!
Now to make the cookies- because WOW they’re cute right? I found the same cookie cutters at World Market mentioned in this post. & I thought to myself, “hey! I can do that!” So I did! Just cut them with a notch like I did here. Make sure you pop it back in the fridge so they hold their shape…mine could’ve stood to be cooled longer honestly. But they still worked! Bake according to package instructions.
