Did you make resolutions this year? I didn’t…not technically. But I did take the time to reflect on some changes that I think would benefit our family! One of those is to stop grabbing so much “to-go food” & cook at home more. Often I’m scrambled by the end of the day after taking care of Ellie, working, running errands, etc. & then I’m ravenous. So I’ve come up with some tips, tricks, & advice that has really been helpful to make things run more smoothly! So here are my 10 ways to cook at home more this year- starting now!…

Leopard Midi Dress, Belt Bag, & Faux Leather Moto Jacket with Glam Curvy Styling
There’s something about a long dress that feels glam but sometimes covering up looks sloppy on me. If you’re an hourglass like me, you might also be cringing at all the straight-cut dresses right now that end up looking more like a sack. So what am I loving right now? This grey leopard dress that is actually a midi dress with a sheer mesh overlay!
This is Torrid’s Dark Grey Leopard Mesh Midi Dress & it is a style they carry in different variations frequently. I actually also have it in maroon! The bust is unique because not only are the straps adjustable (always appreciated) but there’s velvet piping as well that really gives an appearance of corseting without any discomfort. There’s a bit of stretch at the waist so if you’re an hourglass or pear shape, you could also possibly size down. The piping also wraps around the back where it is more noticeable if you happen to be not wearing a jacket.
If you do want to rock a jacket- might I recommend hitting up Torrid if you have larger arms? This is a trick all curvy or plus gal should know- plus size specific retailers frequently sewn in something stretchy along the underarm that makes things fit better & be WAY more comfortable. For the Black Faux Leather & Ponte Moto Jacket specifically, the sleeves are made entirely of a stretchier fabric. So you get the edgy feel of faux leather but the comfort & durability of the ponte paneling. For me this is key because there’s also stretchy detailing around the waist & hips which is way more flattering.
Now let’s chat accessories! I tend to wear a lot of black so often times I prefer a few pops of color. The exception here is this waist bag because I thought it would go with a lot more in black! This is the Plus Size Black Faux Leather Belt Bag aka a classy fanny back in my opinion. You’ll notice I tied it then looped it back in because I got it a size too big & I wanted to wear it at the waist to emphasize it! I’m wearing the Multi Gem Statement Drop Earrings as well & they are way more comfortable than they look. These are an instant pop of color & I actually find myself reaching for them a lot! My sunglasses are also from Torrid along with these stacking rings available in extended sizing!
& here’s a better look at the rings! If you have a hard time finding rings in your size, they actually have a ton of options. These are the signature Torrid Block Heels but they happen to have a diamond detailed twist. They have a big variation of these heels & I highly recommend them. They’re extra padded, wide width friendly, & they’re a 2 inch heel that is super comfortable to get around in!
