A tasty marriage between Nutella (a chocolate hazelnut spread) & Cookie Butter (the beloved spread from Trader Joe's) inside a flaky crescent roll.
Recipe type: Dessert, Breakfast, Snack
Cuisine: Concoction
Serves: 8
  • 1 can Pillsbury crescent rolls (for other brands please refer to their baking times)
  • Nutella Hazelnut Spread for filling
  • Trader Joe's Speculoos Cookie Butter, any variety or homemade for filling
  • Optional: Butter & raw sugar to top crescents for a crunchy, shiny, top.
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Divide dough along perforated lines onto cookie sheet. They should be divided up so they will make single servings.
  3. Place scant teaspoons of Nutella & Speculoos Cookie Butter on the larger end of the crescent. Roll up from wide end to create the crescent with filling in center covered by the dough.
  4. If you would like to add the sugar topping do so here right before baking. I pat a bit of softened or melted butter over the top center of each roll then sprinkle lightly with a bit of raw sugar for a nice crunch.
  5. Bake crescents until golden & puffed up, around 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven & let cook at least 1 minute before serving so the filling isn't too hot. Serve immediately warm for best gooey results.
