This is a dangerous post to write! I feel like planners have exploded in popularity in the past 3 years & everyone looks for something different. I have friends who are actually creators & others that are just big fans. & they all have a planner preference! Today I’m going to talk to you about the kitlife planner aka Keeping It Together Planner. & why I’ve owned one for three years straight!
Increase your productivity, focus on healthy habits and live your life filled with happiness and gratitude. Kitlife balances beauty and brains in a way no other planner does. Our classic edition’s hard cover features the vibrant details that kitlife is known for.
I actually discovered this planner from a friend’s post on instagram. I bought it two years in a row & absolutely loved it. This year the brand was gracious enough to send me one. I just want you to know I don’t amp up products just because they’re sent my way & I only share with you guys my honest opinion. Obviously I liked it enough to purchase it myself as well!
There are a lot of special touches inside- like this page at the beginning of each month. Lots of positivity & always a nice way to start a new month as well. You can see the tabs for each month here as well which don’t get bent- that’s huge for me. The binding is also very durable. This planner has the dimensions of Width:8.75 x Height:8.50 & is nearly 1 inch thick. The binding is pretty important when using a planner this size! Te cover is actually a really sturdy board & despite that it hasn’t gotten scratched up at all.
One of the best things about this planner is the extra spaces- notice the goals here on the monthly? Well every weekend half the page is actually “Peek at the Week” which I use religiously. That’s where I write-in my workout classes for the week & my plans for dinner so I can see everything in one look. I also use the goals area on the monthly for BIG goals & appreciate being able to see the month before & after in the top right corner.
But daily is where this planner truly shines! You have the date in the upper left-hand corner of the main daily notes/memo section. That’s an excellent size! It gives me room to write run-on sentences or even divide it into multiple lists. On the lower right-hand size is an hourly schedule- from 6am to 8pm. Don’t think you’ll use that section? Turn it into a list!!
On the lower right-hand side there are 3 smaller sections- The Big 3, Wellness + Water, & Gratitude. The Big 3 is just that- the main 3 things to focus on for the day. I find this VERY useful as I previously had to grab a different pen or write in all caps. For Wellness + Water you can both track your water intake & fitness. Sometimes I use this to make notes for lunch, remind myself to take something out of the freezer, or write down my workout classes day to day. Last is Gratitude which adds a nice boost of positivity!
You should notice the pattern around the edging as well- each day is a different color. This adds even more pizzazz. But the hero of the outskirts is the DAILY quote. I read them every day & although that might not specifically be why you buy the planner…I bet you’ll love them too! You’ll see quotes from a wide variety- from wise anonymous submissions to people you’ll recognize like Coco Chanel, Oprah, & Jane Austen who is one of my personal favorites.
Have you ever fallen in love with a planner? What do you look for specifically? What do you think planners should have that they usually don’t?
